The lock mechanism itself has the 3 wire. Actually it has 4 on the lock because it has 2 micro switches in it, these are negatively switched. A brown to each switch and then 2 other colors (gray and black) for the other side of each switch, then at the connector block the 2 browns are crimped to the same terminal and then they change to 1 black & purple on the loom side, back on the lock side

And yes then you would require a garage fiat dealer to have your car relearn the remote code plus the price of electronic's security code a 5 digit code that in uk is not supplied unless requested and varies in price mine was £45 over the counter at fiat dealer. plus garage would then charge a labour fee on top. When i purchased the stilo i was only given 1 key due to the second being lost, how do i get a new key reprogrammed for my car without going to dealer, i have purchased a key and getting a new blank made at my local keyfacts. cheers john 4. Jan 23, 2013. #1. Had the battery changed in the fob, so now the little red light on the key flashes again due to new battery but it seems that it needs to be reprogrammed. Is there a way to reprogramme it yourself or is it purely a Fiat dealer job? The "graphite pencil" fix is just a way to bodge a repair if you can see a break in one of the circuit/tracks. You basically use the pencil to re-create the connection by laying down a line of graphite between the breaks. It may work and it may not.. or last just 5 minutes. Probably only one for Apollo 13 Hello, i have a 1.6 stilo hatchback, 5 door. its running cold, only getting 1/4 of the way on the dial, and the heater in the car doesn't get warm at all. i assume this is a failed thermostat but the Stilo being a stilo just thought i should ask if it could be anything else, and if so how can i test. My main stilo remote key fob has just started to play up, it unlocks the car, locks again but will not deadlock, then stops locking at all, the red light on the fob then flashes for a while, it still starts the car OK, but I have to use the key to unlock the car. I do have a spare which still Jan 4, 2015. #5. Before trying to dismantle the door, loosen the torx screw holding the lock barrel in, pull the barrel out, remove the outer handle and have a look down the hole to see if you can spot anything broken. See here for diagram: Fiat Eper. Fully dismantling the door is not fun, especially in this weather!
Yes the key has an immobiliser chip in the remote body so key plus chip = car start Remote locking/alarm is a completely separate system Under the Fiat badge on the remote is the securing screw to disassemble Have a look here as you can maybe swop keys, immobiliser chip and remote internals over.

The remoate central locking suddenly stopped working on my 03 Stilo (co-incidenally around the same time my 2 year old discovered the key), so I can open the doors by putting the key in the lock but pressing the buttons on the fob does nothing. I've changed the battery in the fob and it still doesn't work.
Hi guys bought the missus another stilo the other day and it only come with one key (the non central locking type) does anyone know or have a guide for extracting the key code from the ecu as i begrudge giving the robbing b*stards £45 for the card. if someone can help i will happily sort them out kind regards yorobbo You need to take out the small round fiat cap on the back of the key fob, so you could split the key fob casing in two. Then I think you could just pull out the blade. Got to be very carefull when detaching the fiat cap so you don't damage it. Also when you open the key fob, do it on the table so you can't drop it or something like that. Points. 3. Jun 10, 2009. #1. Hi, I just bought a Fiat Stilo 1.9 JTD from 2003 and I noticed that the buttons on my key aren't working. I replaced the battery and I see the red led flashing everytime I press a button, but the doors don't lock or go open. Now I don't know what to do or what the problem is..I don't have a manual to look into and

Hi I have just purchased another Stilo Multiwagon to replace my old one that I had clocked up 331,000 miles in truly a fantastic car The key fob on the new car would not operate the locks etc I put a new battery in it thinking it was dead, with the new battery in the red light on the fob is the only way to produce a new working transponder is to read the eeprom file of the bodycomputer, use this file with a key cloning device like Zed Bull to precode a blank ID48 transponder and fit this new transponder in a new/second hand Fiat key. Then you can use FES to program this key to your bodycomputer, it will be accepted because it now

I have installed a new battery into the fob and now the locking won't work! HELP!! Read full answer. Mar 09, 2010 • 2006 Fiat 124.

Hi everybody From a week I have the same problem. My key stopped working. The Led flashes; - no lock and unlock, but the engine starts fine without problem. I have 2 absolutely equal keys, but there is no problem with the second one.
When you lock the car, the indicators flash just once, when you unlock the car they flash twice. When you use the deadlock (you have to press the lock button twice on the remote) it flashes once for the lock sequence and twice for the deadlock activation. I don't have an alarm installed so it's just standard equipment !
Hi, I have "new" Stilo 115 JTD 2003, that came with one key without remote control. Also boot lock is stuck. With it I got set of two remote keys and all locks from wrecked 1.6 16v 2002 Stilo with it. Can I replace the locks and programm these two keys to work with my car? I have code cards
